History in the crosshairs

You are a historical figure (pick your favourite).
On the eve of [day you’ve been waiting for your whole life], you’re having doubts.
Today you were visited by a man you knew throughout your childhood and he brought a proposition that could change your life and the course of history.
But if you choose to embark on this mission, you will be betraying your family. You hold the letter he gave you above a fire, about to cast it into the flames and forget all about it. But something stops you.
What is it? What will you choose to do?
Inventing the future

Since childhood, you have always had a hunger to create, to solve problems, to build something genius. Tonight, you have achieved it but the possibilities scare you. This new invention has the potential to disrupt nature, time and space but the lure of it is irresistible.
Your genius will finally be recognised, but at what cost?
Your assistant is hesitant and frightened but then they’ve never had big ideas like you do. What do you say to them to justify your creation?
The dawn of creation

You get first-class tickets to ride on a ship that will show you the dawn of creation. You and the other passengers stare at the historical event with wonder and awe. But your mind is riddled with doubt. Is this vision true? It promises to shatter life-long beliefs in how the world was created.
As you watch, something dawns on you. A theory you had about life itself is about to be proven right. What will you do with this information?
Before the wedding

Your mother just sat you down and told you the truth about the person you are about to marry.
They are not who they seem and their intentions, while seemingly genuine on the surface, are actually cunning and change your perspective of who they are as a person.
But is your mother telling you the truth? They have their own reasons to stop this marriage. And it’s up to you now to decide what to do.
The forbidden platform

Platform six. The elevator grinds to a halt, squeaking as it does. The old doors struggle to open and do so at an agonisingly slow pace. But you’re finally here.
For a moment, you stare at the dark corridor beyond. The doors remain open, beckoning you to leave and seek out what you came here to find.
As you finally step into the corridor, lights buzz and flicker into life, illuminating your way.
You almost step into a small pool of blood at your feet. Someone has already been here, recently. Did they get to it before you? Will the item you seek still be there, hidden on platform six? You pick up the pace, dodging the trail of blood and arrive at the only door in the corridor. It’s already open. You push it open and the sight inside makes you hand stand up and a jolt of panic run through you.
