What I’m Working On

I love writing stories with fantasy elements, inspired by history, religion, and psychology. Some of my biggest inspirations right now include The Wheel of Time series, the Grishaverse series, The Three Body Problem, and the Green Bone saga.

I’m always working on a few different novel ideas, but these are my two main WIPs at the moment…

(not an actual attempt at a book cover don’t worry)

The Gifts of the Gods [Querying]

I’m currently working on a high fantasy series set in a world I’ve built myself. The world has taken inspiration from ancient cultures such as Egypt and Rome, but with magical elements threaded through and themes of religious belief, injustice, madness, and vengeance

Priests are the real rulers of the empire Tasmagul after the Gods finally began to speak with them and gift them with powers in the event known as The Awakening. Since then, anyone with strong magical ability must become part of the Priesthood – no exceptions.

The story follows two blasphemers – Rigo, the son of a Chief Priest who turned his back on the Temple and became trapped in a life of organised crime. And Kalah, who opens the abandoned Temple of the disgraced God, Antalna, with a message from the God herself.

The Gods lied.

Currently querying book one. Book two is drafted. Aiming for a trilogy.

Flowers of Zansanil [Drafting]

This story is set in a more modern/non-fantastical world and deals with themes of addiction, mental illness, escapism, and poverty.

Discovered by the Founder of pharmaceutical company Zans, the Oodilei plant grows in the snowy mountains of Uza. When brewed into a tea, it can give the user what they want most in the world – a chance to live their wildest dreams for a short time. While the locals warn against using it too often, the Founder sees an opportunity.

Renamed to Zansanil, this plant could be key to healing an ill mind in a way that no other drug can.

Icharas is a test subject and gets to live in her dream life, a life she soon has no desire to leave. The flowers call to her as though they want to be consumed. By the time she discovers why, it’s too late for her. But before she loses herself completely, she needs to tell the world the truth of the Zansanil flower before it’s available to the public.
